God Answers Specifically

This week has been a week I’ve seen prayers answered. I’m talking about having my devotions and feeling I needed to call someone whom I speak with a few times a year. Before I had the chance to pick up the phone and dial the number, the phone rang and she felt she needed to call me.

This wasn’t just any coincidence because I had been praying about a certain situation for a couple of months now and this person held some information that would help make the decision I had been praying over. As we spoke on the phone, I prayed God would show me the answers I needed. The longer we talked, the more I felt a huge burden lifting off of my shoulders.

Also, during this time, God ignited the original passion He had placed inside of me and I was rejuvenated and driven to complete the task all at the same time. I saw His plans laid out in a different way than I had imagined; much better than I had imagined.

I was also a witness to a healing of a young girl with health issues. The doctors were testing her and not giving a good prognosis. We prayed for weeks as she was waiting for a final test to be held. We prayed for healing. As she went for the latest test, the tech asked why she was there because she saw nothing wrong. There was a complete healing.

Sometimes we forget in our sophisticated society that God still answers prayers and provides healing. Did God speak clearly to me in an audible voice? No. He spoke through another person who was also making herself available to the will of God and listening to the still small voice of the Holy Spirit. Did God physically come and touch this girl to provide healing? Not that I know of, but He has provided doctors and tests that show she is no longer ill.

We see not because we ask not.

We forget to look for God working in our lives.

I have a challenge for you this week: You know what the desires of your heart is. Ask God to give you the desires of His heart and ask Him to make your desires HIS desires.

If God desires something for you, why would He ever withhold from you what is best for you? Remember, when we ask for healing, it might not come physically; it could be emotionally. God will provide the healing in the best way you need it at that time in your life.

Don’t sell God short. Don’t get frustrated when things aren’t going your way. Ask God to show you where He’s specifically working in your life. He will show you. Ask God to open your eyes to His work. He literally died for you to bring you into a relationship with Him.

How do you need to specifically pray this week?
